Massage
Massage can be used for all age groups and health conditions and complements other forms of treatment. It is beneficial from infancy through childhood, adult life and later years and during pregnancy.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage is used to stimulate circulation, relieve muscular tension, improve skin function, enhance rehabilitation after injury or illness and reduce pain. We use a number of techniques to aid body and mind wellbeing. A Relaxation Massage can counteract your workplace, personal, physical and emotional stresses and bring your muscles and your mind to a state of pure relaxation.
Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage can be described as the application of deep massage techniques directed towards relief of a specific musculoskeletal injury or condition. Remedial Massage differs from Relaxation Massage in that the techniques used often require deep pressure and are focused on a specific condition or complaint. The Remedial Massage Therapist focuses on individual regions of the body such as the neck, shoulders and legs. In certain situations Relaxation Massage techniques may be integrated to enhance therapy.
TCM Remedial Massage
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Remedial Massage is a method of stimulating vital energy (Qi) flow along meridians or circuits to restore harmony. Many techniques are used to achieve this such as rubbing, stretching and stimulating acupuncture points using acupressure and meridian mobilisation. These points and meridians have been mapped by the Chinese over a period of 2000 years, forming part of the Chinese medical system.
